Important: Measles Alert

Following a recent outbreak of measles, we strongly advise all parents and carers to ensure that children are fully immunised with the MMR vaccine.

Measles is a highly infectious illness and can be serious, particularly for babies, pregnant women and people with weakened immune systems. Complications can include ear infections, pneumonia, seizures and, in rare cases, brain inflammation (encephalitis).

Please check your child’s Red Book to confirm they have received both doses of the MMR vaccine. If you are unsure about your child’s vaccination status, please contact the practice and we will be happy to check your records.

If you believe you or your child may have symptoms of measles please do NOT attend the practice in person.
Instead, please telephone the surgery or submit an online consultation so we can advise you safely.

Patient Participation Group

The Patients Participation Group, normally referred to as the PPG, are a small group of patients at the Surgery who meet in person with the Management about 6 times each year.

These meetings give the Surgery an opportunity to advise the members of forth coming changes and to seek views on them. It also gives the members the chance to provide feedback to the Surgery, drawing attention to general points of concern. It is not a forum for specific complaints. In addition, the Surgery is asked to provide details of the services provided and the extent to which it has met its contractual requirements. The overall aim is to work with the Surgery to improve where necessary patient’s experiences.

The PPG is now looking to increase its membership and  if you are interested in joining please email Daisy Evans – Patient Experience Manager, (daisy.evans@hcrgcaregroup.com) and /or leave a message with reception .If you would like to have a chat with the Surgery and/or the Chair of the PPG before making a decision please do get in contact via the email patientparticipation.group2@nhs.net

If you are interested in joining a virtual PPG please indicate using the e mail address above or contacting the Surgery.
